The purpose of a storyboard is to act as a visual plan with written directions;

• Image which provides a narrative.
• Cinematography - shot/angle/movement.
• Lighting (shown with arrows).
• Audio - dialogue/soundtrack/ambient/sound effects (SFX).
• Costume notes.
• Props.
• Editing - length of take.
• Transitions.
